In an age when Christians are often pressured to be more like the world, John Stott’s message here is worth hearing again.
Often the pressure is expressed in terms of mission. We must be more accommodating of the world’s values and practices if we are to win people, we are told. If the church is distinctive, it will turn people away. Apparently that is not how God sees it. Maybe it is the distinctiveness of the church that makes it attractive to some.
