Health Check

Tony Morgan of the Unstuck Group has written a little book on measuring the health of our churches. It is called Vital Signs: Meaningful Metrics That Keep A Pulse On Your Church’s Health and is available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

The book considers four areas of church life

  • Attendance
  • Involvement
  • Finances
  • Facilities

There is also an online health check designed to be used in conjunction with the book but which can be used independently. Why not enter your church’s data and see how you score?

LifeChurch.tv offers a free, online system for tracking your church’s numbers. Record any data you want. They say “If you can count it, you can track it.” Then look at graphs etc to see the trends. Find it at https://www.churchmetrics.com/

Know what to measure and how, in order to determine your health and your effectiveness,  is one of the topics our Ambassador, Peter Cheyne can help you with. If you would like to invite Peter to speak to your church or your leaders contact him by email.
